据悉，Manus的发布者是AI团队Monica，创始人肖弘1992年出生，2015年毕业于华中科技大学软件工程专业，曾创立武汉夜莺科技有限公司。在大模型浪潮中，肖弘又创立北京蝴蝶效应科技有限公司。
不过，Manus在掀起流量关注的同时，也陷入舆论漩涡。由于Manus采用邀请内侧的限制，导致一些用户没法体会到这样一款AIAgent带来的体验，这一举动也被质疑为“饥饿营销+套壳炒作”。并且，Manus的出圈首先在自媒体界，而不是专业的科技圈。
